After a very hectic day we crashed into our beds to relax before we began the evening tour which looked very promising.

We were picked up by the tour bus at 7 PM and it took us to other pickup points and their main office opposite the Old Post office building. There our tour guide for the evening Andrew aka Andy got into the bus and started cracking jokes and showed a few card tricks, magic etc to entertain the tourists. It was fun and exciting when he said that all along the tour he will unravel some of the mysteries and symbols that lay across the entire city.

1 Nagaon Beach

Suddenly, your heart pleas to take it to that place right then. 1 Kerala Trip Part 1 - Houses

Any season is good to visit this wonderful place. People call Kashmir the heaven on earth, but according to me, Kerala can give Kashmir a run for its money when it comes to the heaven on earth title. I visited Kerala in the month of December last year.

When we were to land at Cochin, the view below us was splendid, with the tree-bed spread all over, seldom we spotted a house, or a small colony! Beautiful trees, with rays of sun falling on them; the early morning rays, the combination of golden and green – breathe taking!

0 Serene Beaches of Karwar Day 3

Day3 was primarily a day we marked for return as we had a train to catch from Hubli, so had lunch at our old jaunt Hotel Sai across the road. We started for the Karwar Bus stand at 3 PM from the hotel after reaching there we waited for some time and then got into a bus for Karwar which started at 4 and we were at Hubli Old bus stand at 7.30 PM. We were told about famous "Dharwad Peda" a specialty sweet from North Karnataka district. Dharwad Peda is made out of Milk, Sugar coating and Khoa. You can buy Dharwad Peda in Sweet Shops all around Hubli-Dharwad. So we spotted a shop near the bus stand "Mishras Peda" and purchased 500 gm box.

0 Udaipur-Mount Abu-Chittorgarh

Chittorgarh: It is the biggest fort in Asia. The famous historical icon - Vijay Stambh can be seen in the photograph below. Inside the fort there is “Kali Temple”, "Jaya Stambh", the place where 'Jauhar' took place.


There is nothing much to look around except the fort. Here you can do some shopping of magical sarees.Yes, these are made up of Bamboo threads and contains lifelong “chandan scent”.Also if the saree is dried in shed it becomes a silk wear and if dried in direct sun it becomes cotton wear!!! *Hai na magical???*

2 Serene Beaches of Karwar Day 2

The Day 2 started late largely due to the extreme fatigue of the previous day and also the main agenda of the day ‘Trip to Gokarna’ was scheduled late afternoon. We had thought of visiting the Karwar beach during day though. We ventured out of the hotel around 10.30 Am in search of a decent place for breakfast and landed up at Hotel Purnima a few meters away from the our Hotel on the Karwar Main road itself. The breakfast was a typical South Indian fare with Idly, Dosai, Appams etc. After breakfast we had to abandon the plan of going to the Karwar beach and got back to Hotel as it was becoming too difficult to stay outside in such a hot and sticky weather.

2 Kashid Beach

It was a fine morning when we arrived at Mumbai. Rainy season is the best time to be here..err not in Mumbai I meant but to the final destination-Kashid…our earlier plan was to get parked at Alibaug…but as it was expected the weekend and the rainy weather had done wonders to people’s mind and they all booked the resorts at Alibaug ! Okay, thanks to them that we decided to take a further ride towards Kashid-Murud beach…and we finally landed at Kashid Beach Resort at Kashid.

3 Ganpati Pule: Temple & Beach - Maharashtra, INDIA

Ganpati Pule is located at the Konkan coast of Maharashtra. There is no railway station at Ganpati Pule, so one has to go via Ratnagiri, which is the nearest railway head. By road, one can take a bus going to Ganpati Pule from Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur etc. As per my experience, traveling by the rail is a much more convenient option. From Ratnagiri, it takes about an hour (45 kms) to reach Ganpati Pule. One can take Auto-rickshaw or local buses to reach there. Autos will charge you somewhere between Rs. 300-350.

Had read a blog post by a friend, reminiscing about her life in a quaint little place called Umbergaon... and was struck by the wonderful picture of the beach there. Now I am wondering… people say you get the best views of the sea in Goa or Kerala. I would like to present one of the most beautiful beaches that I have had the pleasure of visiting, and mind you, it's not anywhere in Goa or Kerala.
